Although we were living in different states — one in Texas and the other in Maryland — distance could not stand in the way of what God had already begun. Our very first conversation lasted over two hours, filled with effortless laughter, heartfelt conversation, and a deep sense of peace that this meeting was not by chance. What started as one call soon became daily conversations, each one strengthening a bond that felt both natural and divinely guided.
Within a month, we met in Texas, and the connection we had experienced over the phone became even more real in person. Being together felt joyful, peaceful, and unmistakably right. As we arrived, the gentle sound of a violin filled the air, and it quickly became clear that this evening was far more than a dinner. Surrounded by love and thoughtful details, Basil went down on one knee and asked Chelsy to marry him. With joyful tears, she said yes.
